(We also close on rare occasion for renovation, snowstorms and freak power outages)

Do you take reservations?

We are offering a limited number of reservations via Open Table (around 25% of the restaurant), once those are gone, we offer first come, first serve. We don’t do very large parties or meetings.

Will they have to wait? How long and where?

We never know what will happen on any given night, but in general, expect a wait on the weekends from 0-45 minutes, weeknights from 0-30 minutes. 7-7:30pm is the busiest time. Large groups will have a longer wait time. We have a bar and fireplace area to wait at. Please note that big local or University of Virginia events will make the waits slightly longer.

Do you have a dress code?

No, we’re casual.

Visa, MasterCard, American Express

Do you sell gift certificates?

Yes, in any denomination and we can handle this over the phone.

What is the average cost for dinner for two? 

With tax and tip, the average will be around $100,  not including alcohol.

What is the menu like?

The menu changes every day, giving the chefs the opportunity to keep things interesting for both the diners and the kitchen. Please see our menu page for today’s update.

Is there a kid’s menu?

We do not have a formal children’s menu but we can do Grilled Cheese, Burgers, Fries, Pasta.

Do you have vegetarian options?

We have a vegetarian entrée and appetizer on our daily menu.

Do you do take out?

We will do anything on our menu for take out (except for those entrées served in ceramic baking dishes)

Can we bring in our own dessert? 

We allow people to bring a special birthday cake in, but there will be a $2.50/person plate fee. We do have a full time CIA trained pastry chef to do special cakes with several days’ notice.

What is your corkage fee on wine?

$25 per 750ml bottle.

Are you willing to work with food allergies?

Yes, the chefs are very flexible.
